Zachary Marsh

Hello! Thank you for checking out my portfolio.

My name is Zachary Alan Marsh.

I graduated from Arizona State University in 2015 with a B.S. in Communication and soon began exploring different career paths.

From the automotive industry to fitness to tech, I developed many unique skills and learned more about what type of work environments I was best suited for. I began learning how to code in 2021 through YouTube and other online resources. With the help of my cousin, I was able to rapidly progress my programming skills and land a WFH analyst job in early 2022. I'm now a Software Developer for a large healthcare organization, responsible for maintaining and improving a logistics web application.

My hobbies include: Magic: The Gathering, songwriting, reading, skateboarding, and video games.

Projects

Empty Folder Assassin

This was a simple, but useful application that I created using C# to remove empty folders from my computer. Simply input a starting directory, and the program will search and delete empty folders within that directory and all subdirectories within.

Squirt Turtle Rescue (DEMO)

My attempt at making a 2D platformer. You're a velociraptor who can shoot lightning from its mouth. You have to navigate the deadly terrain, battle funky enemies such as the bubble-blasting Crab Cat, and save your friends from their prison cell. Don't forget to collect the key to open the cell along the way! Note: This game is still under development.

Jokes

A simple webpage made using JokeAPI. All jokes use the "Safe Mode" filtering and exclude any dark, political, racist, or otherwise offensive jokes.

Clicky Click Click

Couldn't think of a more clever title for this game than the game's objective. You have 30 seconds to click as many green boxes as you can. Careful though, the boxes are constantly changing colors. Any wrong clicks will reduce your score!
